Yesterday was A's birthday. We celebrated Sunday night with all the family and then spent the morning together having pancakes and visiting the doctor for the last of our shots until Kindergarten. Here's some of the highlights...hopefully in the right order!
Measuring up at 37 inches tall. Weight tipped the scale at a whopping 28.8 pounds. Must have been the breakfast she ate this morning. (See next picture!)
Birthday breakfast at the home of "The Best Breakfast in Utah!" Sill's Cafe. It must be true because ABC4 news was there doing a story on the morning news. It was very yummy! (And yes...She ate all of it except for probaby half a pancake.)
Uncle Brandon helped with her "make-up."
Testing the frosting and licking the candles. Spurred on by none other than Uncle Brandon, of course.
"Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to my love bug....
Happy Birthday to you!"
Her Tinkerbell cake. (Don't know why with the flash it is so yellow.) The cake was amazing!
Boman's bakery does it again!
Her Barbie Computer from Uncle Brandon. We had to hide it later that night. She got some cool food from Uncle Nate, princess books from Aunt Arla, tons and tons of clothes from Grandmas, Grandpas and aunts.
Pulling out the tissue paper. She felt it necessary to stuff it in the laps of anyone sitting on the floor nearby.
Getting ready to unwrap her Disney Princess dolls from her Bodily aunts and uncles.
Valentine outfit from Grandma.
Reading a birthday card with Daddy.
Opening a present from Grandma Cindy & Grandpa Kelvin.
Sitting at her new coloring table Sunday morning!
Helping Grandma open the chairs. She kept giggling and squealing with delight.
Out of the blue...all on her own, she rushes over the Jeff and with a huge hug and kiss says, "Tank you daddy for helping with the sticky tape." He had pulled the tape off the box so she could open it. She is so sweet. I love it when she does it on her own. It makes me smile.
Making sure she had every last piece of paper off the box before we could move on to opening the box.
Some of A's favorite things to say right now:"Daddy, you need to wash you whissers."
"Don't worry. You can fix it. Maybe gwama can put a new battery."
"It's okay. I'm alright," while the tears are pouring from her eyes. Only to followed by, "I need a tissue," or "Maybe you can get a tissue to wipe my tears."
"No you do it. No you can do it. No I do it." (Yes in that order...sometimes no means yes apparently.)
